Philippine American Sports Association of Arizona - Filipino Basketball League

Welcome to the Philippine American Sports Association of Arizona. This organization started a basketball league in 1996 in a remote park in Phoenix, Arizona. There were only four teams competing when it started and has now grown to about 180 members equaling to 15 teams in 2001. In 2006, the same amount of teams are expected to participate.

We would like to thank our sponsors for providing store discounts for the players and guests. We would also like to thank the City of Tempe and Glendale for their support.

The Summer League has started and a total of 18 teams have joined. There are 10 teams for the Executive (35 and over) League and 8 teams for the 25 and over. This does not include the Open Tournament which has about 16 teams playing. Due to the numerous amounts of teams - over 30 teams, we will not be able to combine both Tournaments because it will now take about 7-8 hours of playing time. As you all know, the coordinators and committee do this out of their own time and do not get paid. But for the love of the game of basketball, we are all eager to give some time for the community so long as we all know and meet each other.

Below are some of the pictures of the teams who joined.
